Boldyn Networks (Boldyn) has appointed Brendan O’Reilly CEO of the UK & Ireland business effective immediately. Brendan, previously Boldyn’s Group COO and Group CTO, has been a pivotal member of Boldyn’s executive team for four years, significantly contributing to the company’s rapid expansion across the US, UK, and Europe. He takes over from Billy D’Arcy, whose leadership over the past eight years was instrumental in establishing and growing Boldyn’s business in the UK & Ireland. Including key projects like the Transport for London concession, the acquisition of Vilicom, and the iconic Olympia site, all guided by his remarkable customer focus.

Igor Leprince, Group CEO of Boldyn Networks said,“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Billy for building our UK & Ireland business to what it is today and wish him all the success in the future. I’m excited to have Brendan step into this role. His extensive industry background, strong customer relationships, and operational expertise will enable us to build on our successes in the UK & Ireland and lead the business into the next phase of growth and delivery for our customers.”

During his tenure as Group COO, Brendan O’Reilly established a strong global function that has been instrumental in driving Boldyn’s digital transformation initiatives, including integrating all acquired businesses under a unified IT platform and services. He has also been overseeing the business in Hong Kong, led by Teddy Lo. Brendan is a Board member of the Wireless Broadband Alliance, a member of the UKTIN Advisory Board, a Co-Chair of the Neutral Host & Infra Sharing Project Group of the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) and an expert contributor to the Forbes Technology Council. He has decades of experience in deploying 5G and neutral host technologies, including the launch of Telefónica’s O2 5G network.

Brendan O’Reilly, CEO of UK & Ireland for Boldyn Networks commented, “I’m looking forward to expanding Boldyn’s presence in the UK & Ireland through innovative connectivity solutions and the efforts of our talented team. Our multi-year agreements with Transport for London and Sunderland, complex projects like Hornsea 3, the world's largest offshore wind farm, and large venues like first direct arena Leeds, showcase our capability to reimagine connectivity alongside our customers.”

Boldyn Networks, a leading global neutral host network provider, is shaping the connectivity landscape. It's partnering with MNOs in the UK to enhance mobile performance in London’s high streets through small cell deployments while being a trusted partner for private 5G networks in complex environments like ports and smart cities that are looking at building comprehensive 5G ecosystems. Through its partnership with ASM Global, it is bringing 5G multi-carrier connectivity to large public venues like the first direct arena Leeds and transforming connectivity at major real estate developments such as Olympia. Known for its 20-year concession with TfL, Boldyn delivers high-speed mobile connectivity across the London Underground. The company is installing a fibre backbone across the capital to enhance connectivity both above and below ground, providing significant socio-economic benefits to local businesses and communities. Its long-term partnership with Sunderland City Council aims to make Sunderland the UK’s most advanced smart city.

Billy D’Arcy will be leaving Boldyn during the first half of 2025.
